The Sainte-dorothée neighourhood in Laval is located in the west part of the island. Even though it was officially founded numerous years ago, the neighbourhood is still booming. You will find here the Sainte-Dorothée and the Notre-Dame shopping centres. Many come to settle here, in the residential areas that are being developed here and there. A suburb train also links Montréal to this city.
If you visit this neighbourhood, make sure you visit the Paradis des Orchidées or the famous Centre des sciences de l’espace et Camp spatial du Cosmodôme. The Old Sainte-Dorothée will take you back into the past, while at the Bio-Ferme Laval, you can buy some fresh farm products. If you visit the neighbourhood in May, participate in the Symposium des Artistes sur la Route des Fleurs, you will see some colourful works of art and flowers.
